A Chestnut Hill Gem: Fresh Eats & Incredible Sweets Whether you are looking for a post-hike reward or just a charming spot for lunch, Cake in Chestnut Hill is a must-visit. Its location makes it incredibly convenient if you’ve been exploring the nearby trails in Wissahickon Valley Park, but the atmosphere and food make it a destination all on its own. The Atmosphere This place is truly unique. Located in a beautiful, historic greenhouse, the setting is bright, airy, and full of character. It has a very "cool" vibe that feels different from your typical cafe. There is even a great gift shop and plant-filled area to browse while you wait. The Food & Bakery Because they are a full-service bakery as well as a restaurant, the menu is a perfect mix. I highly recommend the chicken saladβ€”it was fresh, flavorful, and a great choice for a lighter lunch. However, you can’t leave without hitting the bakery counter! Their cupcakes and brownies are delicious and the perfect way to round out a meal. Service & Parking Just a heads-up: this spot is popular and can get pretty busy! While the service was good, it was a little on the slower side because they were so packed, and we did have a bit of a

Cake’s natural light and plants makes for a green house garden party venue and the perfect spot for brunch with friends, pastry lovers, and Chestnut Hill wanderers. The staff is warm and attentive. The crab cake eggs Benedict is a standout β€” crisp edges, tender crab, silky hollandaise, and perfectly seasoned home fries. It’s BYOB, and because the venue is small, arriving early makes the experience even smoother.

Cake is one of my favorites places to visit! The atmosphere is sunny, warm, welcoming, truly a great vibe. Whenever my friend and I meet for breakfast, we always choose Cake because we can count on the food being scrumptious every single time. We had breakfast. In addition, they have plenty of pastries available to purchase even if you’re not dining in. The menus is breakfast standards with delicious variety. The service is excellent.

We've stopped by Cake in Chestnut Hill for some delicious Brunch! The restaurant is located in a converted Greenhouse and also offers baked pastries to go. We had the French Toast and Quiche and it was delicious! Service is fast and friendly. Would definitely stop by again!

We went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning with friends. They opened at 9 am, and we were there waiting when the doors opened. We were seated right away, and the service was excellent. There were many bakery items to choose from. I had a delicious blueberry cheese danish to start. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, which was huge. I wasn't expecting that. The side salad was delicious with a citrus dressing. The portions were large, and the service was great.
